Daddy's
Amazing Garden Sculptures

A Happy Man

"If you observe a really happy man, you will find him building a
boat, writing a symphony, educating his son, growing double
dahlias in his garden, or looking for dinosaur eggs in the gobi desert.

He will not be searching for happiness as if it were a collar button
that has rolled under the radiator.  He will not be striving for it as a
goal in itself.  He will have become aware that he is happy in the
course of living life twenty-four crowded hours of the day."

~ W. Beran Wolfe

Some people redecorate their houses
and some people garden.  When it comes to my Dad,
he is the over-achiever of yard decor.
Come into his garden with me
and see some of his strange
and wonderful creations ~

We'll begin our tour on the front walk.
His lighthouse mailbox lights the way for the postman.  It gathers mail and interest from passersby.

Dad's castle, which is now inside the gazebo
guarding the koi pond.

A birdhouse waiting for it's occupants.

The koi are grateful for the enclosure.

The doves and a couple other bird pals reside happily in the Aviary.
They don't even mind the occasional footsteps on the deck above that
Daddy built for quiet moments.

The bird guards
Mama's rock garden.
~ and St. Francis guards the family and the grounds.
