A majority of the family - what a magnificent group!

We miss those not present!

A fun movie that just makes you smile was "I Could Never Be Your Woman" starring Michelle Pfeiffer.  What I got out of it was, you want to be there for your kids and you love being there for them, but you've got to be there for yourself as well.  It's kinda what Mama told me 10 years ago.  (I really miss her).

The movie "Georgia Rule", was good, but a sleeper called "Seraphim Falls" drove the point home...

There is no good or bad, there are only people doing the best they can with the hand they've been dealt, the things they've been taught, the information they've been given, and the principles they believe in.

It pretty much boils down to life is too short to hate or hold grudges.

The people you waste negative energy on are going through pain just like you.

The movie was intense!  Just like life.

If you want to know what family is all about, the movie "Relative Strangers" with Kathy Bates and Danny DeVito is also timely.  It's a comedy, but it has a strong message that rings true:

Loving someone means accepting them as they are.

To quote someone very wise, "The secret to a happy life  ~~~  Live simply; Have no enemies; Learn to forgive."

Here's my family beginning with the most dear (aside from Don - but he knows that)

Caleb, Loyd, and Erik

My boys turned into 3 very remarkable men!

I miss them so very much.

My niece Chrissie, along with my sister Vickie and her husband Dave
Vickie is a pilot for an airline back east.  She and Dave do jazz performances in their spare time.
Dave is a middle school band instructor as well as a member of a jazz trio called Birdland Express.
He is also founder and director of a jazz group for youth called
the Young Razzcals Jazz Project

Vickie's daughter, Chrissie, has been a model doing photo shoots as far away as France.
After modeling, she made a switch to selling real estate in Atlanta.  For a time, she was modeling and doing television commercials in Australia.  She was living in London, then the Bahamas.  She then moved to New York.  (my neice is a tricky one to keep up with)

More recently, she had been teaching Pilates in Instanbul, Turkey.  However, she missed England, so she decided to visit Norway briefly before resettling in London.
While in London, she met a nice Scottish lad and the 2 of them opted to return to the states and settle in Colorado.  She's back in the states now and teaching Pilates again.

Chrissie, give your old aunt a call and let me know if I have it right!

My sister, Linda

Linda has her Masters in Christian Education
and has been working in the United Methodist
Church as the Director of Outreach & Church
Revitalization.

(She is sent to area churches and
assists them in restructuring to
encourage regrowth.)

She may have achieved legend status,
but she will always be "Nonnie" to me.
